Saint-Imier / Dublin, August 9th, 2010 - Longines proudly presents the winners of the 2010 Longines Press Award for Elegance. To round up the season, the Swiss watch brand awarded the French female Pénélope Leprevost and the American male rider Mclain Ward at the Dublin Horse Show, the 7th and final stage of the Longines Press Award for Elegance. Longines would like to congratulate them on their distinctive elegance as well as on their exceptional sporting performance throughout the Nations Cup season 2010. Mclain Ward also won the Grand Prix Longines, Beezie Madden was Longines Best International Athlete and Paul O’Shea was Best Irish Athlete.
Longines is proud to have served for the fifth consecutive time as official partner, timekeeper and title sponsor of the Grand Prix Longines at the Dublin Horse Show.
Among the best performing riders throughout the six previous CSIO events (La Baule, Rome, St. Gallen, Rotterdam, Falsterbo and Hickstead), the American rider Mclain Ward and the French rider Pénélope Leprevost convinced the international jury of equestrian experts most with their incomparable elegance at the Dublin Horse Show.
Pénélope Leprevost on Mylord Carthago*Hn and Mclain Ward on Anatares F have been awarded yesterday the 2010 Longines Press Award for Elegance receiving a trophy, a set of Longines watches and a cheque for 20'000 Swiss francs.
